Dr. Livernois is an internationally recognized expert on the economics of natural resources and the environment, with a focus on benefits and cost assessment, taxation, regulation, and enforcement. He has published in leading journals and has advised public agencies such as the National Roundtable on the Economy and the Environment, the Walkerton Inquiry, the federal Department of Finance and the Ontario Ministry of the Environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Livernois\u2019 team shall determine the relative benefits and costs to end-user groups (e.g., fisheries managers and commercial fishers), and to society more generally, of adopting the newly developed genomics Toolkits versus continuing use of the current, conventional community assessment methods. In addition, the team shall identify the economic, cultural, and social factors that influence the likelihood of adoption by end-user groups and identify strategies that may mitigate these factors.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
