His research is focused on identifying the pathways that regulate the stress response, understanding the developmental and long-term effects of environmental stressors, and developing novel biomarkers to understand the impact of industrial and agricultural practices on aquatic wildlife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Dr. Bernier and his students will contribute to the development and calibration of a stress-response transcription profile chip (STP-Chip), as part of GEN-FISH\u2019s Fish Health Toolkit.
