The process of gene expression broadly includes four main components: the genome, transcriptome, proteome, and metabolome, and the study of these components collectively is omics. The potential for omics science to be applied in fisheries and wildlife management is enormous! However, despite this potential, the uptake of omics technologies to facilitate real-world management decisions is lagging. This is likely due to two main issues: 1) a lack of knowledge about omics, and 2) limited applied science that targets fishery management needs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-94d4e66 sc_fly_static elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"94d4e66\"
